Directions to Campus
Whether you are traveling by car, charter bus, public bus, or metro, there are plenty of ways to get to the University of Maryland.
If your group is starting your tour at the Visitor Center or wants to pick up Visitor Guides or maps, please drop your group off at the Visitor Center located in Turner Hall. The GPS address is: 7950 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20742 Buses can park in Lot 4B. When you arrive for your tour, come into the Visitor Center and the Visitor Center Associate will provide your bus driver(s) with maps and directions on how to get to Lot 4B. We suggest that your tour chaperones exchange phone numbers with the bus drivers in case of any difficulty with pick-up at the end of your visit. If your group is driving in cars rather than taking a bus, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements for obtaining parking passes for the Visitor Center parking lot.
The University of Maryland has a metro stop on the Washington DC Metro Line. To get to our campus, use the College Park/Univ. of Maryland stop on the Green Line. When you exit the metro, wait at the UMD bus stop and take the free UMD 104 bus to campus. The Visitor Center, Stamp Student Union, and South Campus Dining Hall can all be accessed by exiting the bus at the Campus Drive at Math Slip stop. Please review the metro and UMD bus schedules for exact schedule times and view a map of the campus here.
