Summer Conferences Student Employment
Conferences & Visitor Services offers exciting employment opportunities where you can develop your leadership and communication skills. Our positions give you valuable hands on experience that will prepare you for a successful career upon graduation.
Supervisor Positions Supervisors for the Summer Conferences program will work on professionally servicing the needs of over 120 conference groups and their participants. Supervisors will be involved in all phases of the conference program from logistical planning to its execution. Most positions will supervise 1-6 employees. Click to expand and see more information.
The minimum requirements for all C&VS supervisory positions are that you possess a valid driver’s license and are currently a student or May graduate at the University of Maryland. Below is a listing of the available positions along with their job descriptions.
Assistant Positions Summer Conferences Assistant employees will work at the Summer Conference Hospitality Desks in the residence halls on campus. The desks operate 24 hours a day and the employee is responsible for all tasks associated with the desk such as check in/out of residents, key/package distribution, auditing supplies and providing excellent customer service to our guests. The minimum requirements for all C&VS assistant positions is that you are a current student at the University of Maryland. May graduates are not eligible for these positions..
